Optometry Services
At Arvada Optometric Center in Arvada, CO, we provide comprehensive optometry care. This includes eye exams, fittings for contact lenses, eyeglasses, and sunglasses; as well as diagnosis of eye diseases and Lasik co-management.
Eye Exams
We provide eye exams for all members of the family including children ages 6 and up. During an eye exam, we evaluate the health of your eyes and their internal structures and test your eye vision and eye function. Regular eye exams are an important part of your wellness program and aid in the early detection of eye conditions and diseases.
Contact Lenses
Our doctors of optometry can evaluate and fit our customers with the contact lens that is most appropriate for them, including disposable, extended-wear, toric, multifocal, rigid gas permeable, scleral lenses, and any other specialty or hard to fit contacts.
Eyeglasses and Frames
We offer our patients the convenience of an in-house optical department that carries a variety of eyeglasses and frames. Our opticians can help you select the right customizable lens solution for your lifestyle and the perfect frame to complement your face.
Sunglasses
We also offer a variety of prescription sunglasses and frames including polarized and tinted lenses and specialized solutions for outdoor sports, activities, and job-related safety specifications.
Keratoconus Diagnosis and Treatment
Keratoconus occurs when your cornea thins and becomes cone-shaped. It typically begins between ages 10 and 25 and progressively worsens. A cone-shaped cornea is more susceptible to light and results in blurred vision. It is treatable in its early and intermediate stages with scleral lenses. In its advanced stages, a cornea transplant is needed. We can diagnose keratoconus and provide a wide range of treatment options.
Computer Vision
We also diagnose and treat computer vision syndrome, which results from eye strain due to extensive computer use.
LASIK Co-Management
Our optometry doctor can evaluate you to determine if you are a candidate for laser-assisted in situ keratomileuses (LASIK). LASIK is a permanent vision correction option. We provide referrals to a surgeon and pre and post-surgery care.
Dry Eye
Dry eye can result in a wide range of symptoms that may not be readily noticeable. If you have any of these symptoms, it is important to call our office and schedule an appointment with any of our optometrists to diagnose the causes of your dry eye and develop a dry eye treatment plan.
Ocular Disease Diagnosis and Treatment
We diagnose and treat a variety of diseases, conditions, and infections. These include glaucoma, dry eye, macular degeneration, conjunctivitis, cataracts, and others. We also offer screenings for those who are at a higher risk of developing eye conditions because of family or medical history or eye injury.
