Dr. Shawn Cottrell O.D.
Dr. Cottrell graduated from Pacific University in 2007 at the age of 25 with his Doctorate of Optometry. He did his externships at Moran Eye Center and the Salt Lake City Veterans Hospital diabetic clinic, where he specialized in hard contact fitting and diseases of the eye. Shortly after graduating he moved to Colorado, where he began practicing at Arvada Optometric Center in 2008. In 2011, Dr. Cottrell became owner of the practice; his goal, to provide the best eye care possible to the Arvada community.
Dr. Cottrell is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association. In his free time he likes to stick to his roots. Being from a small town in Wyoming, he enjoys camping, fishing, biking and backpacking with his wife Stephanie, their 3 children and dog, Gypsy.
At the age of 8, Dr. Cottrell was given his first pair of glasses. He remembers being able to see individual leaves on trees, something that he had never experienced before. It was at this time he realized that he wanted to become an eye doctor, and that this feeling of excitement was one that he wanted to instill in his patients.

Dr. Eirit Yonatan O.D.
Dr. Yonatan graduated from The Illinois College of Optometry in 2000 with her Doctorate of Optometry. She completed her externships at The Illinois Eye Institute, Sidney Hillman Health center and Chicago Cornea Consultants where she specialized in challenging contact fittings and diseases of the eye. She was hired at Chicago Cornea Consultants immediately after graduation from optometry school. During her years at the surgical center, she acquired a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in cornea and external diseases, pre and post-refractive surgical care, cataract and corneal transplant co-management.
After 4 years at the surgical center, she bought her own optometric practice in a west suburb of Chicago. During her 12 years of owning the practice, she served patients with very challenging eye conditions and difficult contact lens fits. She prides herself in fitting patients that previously failed wearing contacts. She loves restoring vision to patients with a corneal disease or post-surgical patients.
Dr Yonatan moved to Colorado recently in order to enjoy the wonderful people, mountains and weather. She prides herself in providing personalized, caring, compassionate, holistic care to her patients. She understands that each patient has their own unique needs and she customizes her exams accordingly to accommodate all her patients. She loves a challenge.

Dr. Suzanne Falkowski O.D.
Dr. Falkowski graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 2022 with her Doctorate of Optometry. She completed her rotations at The Eye Center in Memphis, TN, Eye Contact in Madison, WI and Community Health Centers of the Central Coast in Nipomo, California. While completing her clinical rotations at Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Falkowski worked closely with some of the top pediatric optometrists. She found her passion for working with children through school screenings, doing eye exams at Youth Villages, and the pediatric clinic at The Eye Center in Memphis, TN. While Dr. Falkowski enjoys seeing kids, she is happy to see all ages and her goal is to provide the best vision care through showing compassion for all people.
One of Dr. Falkowski’s passions is to volunteer and give back to the community. As the President of Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH) at Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Falkowski has traveled around the world, including Colombia and Belize, to provide eye care to people who do not have access.
Having recently moved to Colorado with her husband, Dr. Falkowski enjoys skiing, hiking, golfing and playing with her cats in her free time.
