LASIK Eye Surgery Recovery

Immediate recovery for LASIK is about 12 hours, but it can vary from patient to patient. Many patients report seeing clearly within 24 hours after their procedures, while others may take others about five days to see results. Immediately following surgery, you will experience blurry vision for a few hours. It's normal to experience some blurry vision or fluctuations in your vision within the first several weeks after the LASIK procedure.

You will need to have someone drive you home after the procedure. We also recommend resting your eyes for the rest of the day. After the procedure, we will check your eyes and assess how you are healing. You'll be given some eye drops after surgery for about one week. Recovery from LASIK is ongoing, and it could take about three to six months for your vision to stabilize completely.

The following guidelines are advised to ensure that you heal from your LASIK procedure properly.

• Avoid eye pressure to the eyes for three to four days after surgery
• Avoid any high impact activities and swimming
